Climate-Smart Agriculture
Demonstrate agricultural technologies and innovations adapted to Kitui's semi-arid climate, from drought-resilient crops to precision farming tools.

The Kitui Agricultural Show, Trade & Investment Expo 2026 is a flagship platform showcasing the immense potential of Kitui County in agriculture, trade, enterprise and investment .
Kitui County is a land of immense agricultural potential — home to honey, green grams, mangoes, livestock and a community of resilient entrepreneurs. Ranked 1st nationally in green grams, sorghum, cowpeas and honey production, Kitui's resources have long outpaced the investment and market access needed to unlock their full value.
KASTIE was born out of a conviction: that Kitui's farmers, traders and cooperatives deserve a platform that matches their ambition. What started as a regional agricultural show has grown into the premier agribusiness and investment expo in lower eastern Kenya.
In 2026, KASTIE returns bigger and more ambitious — with a three-day programme of sessions, trade floors, investment pitches and networking events designed to unlock new partnerships and fuel sustainable economic growth across all eight sub-counties.

To be a Prosperous County with Vibrant Rural and Urban Economies where People Enjoy a High Quality of Life.
To Provide Effective County Services and an Enabling Environment for Inclusive and Sustainable Social-Economic Development and Improved Livelihoods for All.
Every session, exhibit, and conversation at KASTIE 2026 is anchored in six strategic objectives for Kitui's development.
Demonstrate agricultural technologies and innovations adapted to Kitui's semi-arid climate, from drought-resilient crops to precision farming tools.
Showcase resource endowments and investment opportunities across Kitui's six Economic and Investment Zones, attracting both local and foreign investors.
Promote investment opportunities across agriculture, water, MSMEs, cooperatives, health, mining, energy, tourism and culture — supporting Kitui's 35,000 small enterprises.
Link local producers, agro-processors and manufacturers to local and international markets, creating sustainable value chains.
Build the capacity of Kitui's 460 cooperatives with 12,456 members to aggregate produce, access finance and negotiate better market prices.
Create platforms for young entrepreneurs, women-led enterprises and artisanal miners to showcase innovations and access investment.
KASTIE 2026 is organised by the County Government of Kitui under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Julius M. Malombe, EGH, Governor of Kitui County.
The Expo is co-organised with the Agricultural Society of Kenya and coordinated through the County Department of Agriculture and the Department of Trade, Industrialisation and Enterprise.
"I warmly invite you to join us in delivering a successful and impactful KASTIE 2026 for the benefit of Kitui County and our nation at large."
